Trying to stay organized

Messy but it works!
I have been using Google calendar for our simple but busy life and it is AMAZING! I especially like using it for bills. I recently wanted a physical calendar and menu, so I came up with this idea! I am hoping to make it a bit neater but for now it works!

Dino baby

Emma has now learned that she can growl and scream and do it all at the same time! She is sounding like a baby rapter! It is super cute! :) I hear rar rar from the living room and it just melts my heart :)

Emma now *tries* to sit up from laying down, she gets her head bf that's about it,  haha.  It is just amazing at how quick she grows, just recently we had to go buy 3-6 months sleepers because she outgrew the other ones!

I love watching my baby girl learn new things! OH,  EMMA FOUND HER HANDS:) she sucks on her fingers like there is no tomorrow. In the morning of she's kinds up,  kinda sleepy I wake up to her sucking her fingers,  soo cute <3

Learning machine

I love getting Emma from her crib in the morning, she has a big smile when she sees me :) we moved her from the bassinet to her crib around 2.5 months and a week or so after she started sleeping through the night!  Yay!  I really enjoy my 6-8 hour nights of sleep now,  I am glad she doesn't need to wake up at night anymore!
Yesterday was mothers day,  my first one as a mama! It was simple and sweet :)
Emma now knows that with help she can sit up,  she trys to pull her self up but it doesnt work tha haha.  She is also getting better with her head,  I would say in a week or so she should have it down 100%. And I will be buying a jumper toy for her really sooon! I am excited.

We had nb pictures done,  that was a task!  The first try (yes we went not than once) Emma was crabby and the pictures weren't turning out good, so we rescheduled for a sunday and we got what we needed :)I can't wait to do more pictures! I plan on taking some soon too!
Around 6 weeks Emma had her smile down pretty good!  Once she learned she could smile,that is basically all she did,  well beside her normal pee,poop, eat,  sleep and repeat routine. I remember when Emma got real tears when crying, ohh it broke my heart! I don't like seeing real tears on my baby girl.  It made me cry with her! I also remember when she started to rub her eyes when she is was tired,  and that is just too cute! 
I think I have fast forwarded pretty much all the way!  I will always be adding pictures too!

Emmas growing

I shared my birthing experience but now Emma is going to be 12 weeks old tomorrow! Where did the time go! Really I should have started this blog when she was born, then kept up week by week.  Now since I didn't I need to fastforward for you all to get on track with Emma and I and our adventures :)
The first week home,  ohh my.  I thought I wasn't going to make it out alive! With the  every 3 hour feedings and getting no sleep I am surprised I made it!  Ithink I may have been a zombie super mom, ha! I would invite over just about anyone so I had an adult to talk to,  reguardless how tired I was! But I made it and each week got better and better!

Having a Baby

We had a baby. Yep, February 13 2012 Emma was born. It was a life changing experience that's for sure. Lets start by telling you about this giving birth experience.. 

I was so ready to not be pregnant any more! I was 2 days overdue! Yikes!! I kept asking all the moms about labor what it was  like, or what contractions felt like..This is my first baby, I was filled with questions! who wouldn't be! Everyone always told me, while I was approaching my due date of February 11th that I will know when I am going into labor and I will know when I start contractions.  I thought, yeah right...And yes I did. It was Sunday night, contractions started.  YAY!!  (I learned how to time them from a birthing class the hubby and I took) I was in the hospital at 1am, Monday morning.  :)

-When I found out I was having a baby, I was scared of getting the epidural! Once I was in labor, I begged for it!- Kudos to all you moms that can do this naturally! :)

At the hospital, I was in labor and pain, a lot of pain.  I was happy and scared since I knew I was going to be meeting my daughter very soon. I was dilated to 1cm and 50% when I showed up, after being there my water broke and things started moving along.....I kept thinking I am one step closer! It was becoming early morning and I screamed in pain (I was not having this all natural thought any more) I got my epidural around 7am. Yay! :) 11am came around and I was ready for pushing...I woke up my hubby to tell him it's time!! He then decide to got get something to eat, ha I told him he better hurry! When he came back in the room with his food, I had pushed a few times and had some oxygen on, he was surprised! I started to push more, by then he couldn't eat what he got, haha. I just kept pushing and pushing...While I was in labor/pushing I couldn't believe how sick I was! I was running a fever, and medicine wouldn't bring it down :(

Then..

3 hours later..

Emma Kay was born @2:02 pm. 8lb 9oz

YAY!
